Dr Debbie is a Canberra local who completed her medical degree and specialist General Practice training in the Wollongong and Shoalhaven regions.
She currently wears many hats, including roles with the Therapeutic Goods Administration and the Department of Bariatric Medicine at ACT Health. Most importantly, she’s mum to two wonderful girls.
Dr Debbie has a special interest in chronic disease and weight management and has undertaken further training in this area. She has also earned the internationally recognised SCOPE certification.
She is privileged to hold roles with the RACGP, including as an examiner and clinical teaching visitor.
Outside of work, Dr Debbie is a keen social netball player who enjoys keeping fit, running and getting back to the beach with her family as often as possible.
Dr Debbie looks forward to joining TSAJ on Thursday evenings on a temporary basis until the end of the year.
Dr Friend is not an employee of The Surgery at Jerra. She has a Service Agreement with TSAJ to provide medical services out of the practice.
She has the right to set her own hours, set her own fees and the practice will collect those fees on her behalf.
