Full-time Medical Receptionist
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable
Medical Receptionist to join our reception team. You will report directly to the Reception Manager and work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth patient journey.
Previous medical reception experience is preferred but not essential. You will need to have strong customer service skills, professionalism, ability to work in a fast passed environment, and have a positive, can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering excellent patient service at every stage of the patient journey
- Supporting practice culture and teamwork
- Managing administrative and billing duties accurately
- Assisting with quality improvement activities
- Using a range of software, including Microsoft Suite, HotDoc, Cubiko, Practice Hub, and Best Practice.
Hours
The Surgery at Jerra operates Monday to Saturday, including Thursday evenings. Applicants must be available to work across these hours.

About Us
At The Surgery at Jerra, our friendly, compassionate, and efficient reception team plays a vital role in delivering excellent care to our community in Jerrabomberra. We are a busy, well-established general practice with:
13 GPs,
A paediatrician,
A dedicated nursing team, and
A supportive reception team.

Hours
The Surgery at Jerra operates Monday to Saturday, including Thursday evenings. Applicants must be available to work across these hours.
- Our part-time position offering up to 32 hours per week across 5 days.
- Casual applicants must be flexible and available at short notice to cover unplanned sick leave and annual leave.
Requirements
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (preferred)
- Successful completion of pre-employment checks
