Dr Asanga Bandara is an experienced General Practitioner with more than 22 years in the medical profession. He has worked across Victoria and the Northern Territory before settling in Canberra at the end of 2021.
A Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), Dr Bandara also holds a Diploma in Child Health from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney. He has a special interest and additional qualifications in skin cancer checks and surgery, providing comprehensive care from diagnosis to treatment.
His areas of clinical interest include men’s health, women’s health, pre-pregnancy counselling, menopause management, and chronic disease care. Dr Bandara believes in a proactive, patient-centred approach, aiming to build long-term, trusted partnerships with his patients to support their ongoing wellbeing.
Outside of medicine, Dr Bandara enjoys music, photography, gardening, cricket, and spending quality time with his family.
